● The city of Cáceres, located in the autonomous community of Extremadura, Spain,
will be the home of one the most important collections of international contemporary art in Europe.
● The new Museum of Contemporary Art Helga de Alvear building, designed by awarded architect Emilio Tuñón and his team, has been considered one of the best architecture projects of the year.
● The inaugural exhibition will show approximately 200 art pieces of renowned contemporary artists, from the 3000 pieces in total from the collection that Alvear will generously donate to the citizenship.
