Four floors of contemporary art to know the artworks from Goya, Picasso, Kandinsky, Ai Weiwei, Olafur Eliasson, Dan Graham, Joseph Beuys, Thomas Hirschhorn, Tacita Dean, Katharina Grosse... from the hand of an expert in the Collection. Extension of "To Write Down All Their Names"

On the occasion of the great success obtained by the temporary exhibition "To Write Down All Their Names" the Helga de Alvear Museum has decided to extend the period of the exhibition until January 7, 2024, so that we can all continue visiting it during the Christmas holidays.

Delve into Thomas Hirschhorn e-book “Energy = Yes! Quality = No!” (Critical Workshop)

Get the digital publication conceptualized and designed by the artist Thomas Hirschhorn. “Energy = Yes! Quality = No!” (Critical Workshop) documents the different phases, methodology, process and development of the eponymous critical workshop that Hirschhorn carried out at Bombas Gens in 2021. During that time, the encouraging result for four weeks comprised 1991 “judgments,” 37 sessions with a total of 217 participants.

Museo Helga de Alvear celebrates its 5th Anniversary with Thomas Hirschhorn in Madrid, Lisbon and Cáceres

More than 40 hours of art, music, and encounters, beyond the museum frontiers, to celebrate five years of Helga de Alvear in Cáceres and continue honouring its founder, Helga de Alvear. As part of the program, Thomas Hirschhorn will present his first public art project in Spain and Portugal. With “POP-UP-MARILYN,” the artist will bring an original Warhol from the Helga de Alvear Collection to the Atocha (Madrid, February 24) and Gare do Oriente (Lisbon, February 26) stations, connecting Cáceres with the capitals of the Iberian Peninsula.
