Education
One of the main goals of Museum of Contemporary Art Helga de Alvear is to become a mediator between society and contemporary art by developing strategies to make it more accessible to the community.
In accordance with the diverse interests of different audiences, the Museum of Contemporary Aty Helga de Alvear develops equally heterogeneous programmes in order for the experience of contemporary art to meet the needs of each group and, at the same time, encourage discussion of the concepts and issues, artistic or otherwise, present in the art, in order for the Visual Arts Centre to reflect their social, intellectual and emotional concerns, for it to become involved in the city and be a place for the integration of groups, subcultures and social and cultural minorities, and, finally for it to become an agent of change and development of the surrounding community.
A prime objective of the Museum is to assess the visitor’s experience and create a spectator who is well-informed and capable of actively discussing and criticizing art and the world around us.
