The Helga de Alvear Collection is one of the major European private collections of contemporary art. It encompasses three thousand artworks by artists from across the world in a multitude of styles, languages, and media. The exhibition Out of Order presents a selection of more than 130 works from the collection, with the purpose of bringing to the fore the dynamic intensity of pieces that have mostly been regarded as sober and neutral, placed here as frictional forces acting against the discipline of images of illogicality and absurdity.
