Out of Order: Works from the Helga de Alvear Collection
The Helga de Alvear Collection is one of the most important contemporary art collections in Europe. It brings together 3,000 pieces in different languages and materials, by artists from all over the world. The Fora da Ordem exhibition presents more than 130 works from this set, in order to point out the dynamic intensity of works considered sober and neutral, placed here in friction with the discipline of images with contradictions and absurdities. The exhibition catalog includes texts by Tadeu Chiarelli, Ivo Mesquita and José Augusto Ribeiro.
