Catalogue of the exhibition “Susan Hiller. Dedicated to the Unknown,” organised by Museo Helga de Alvear and curated by Andrew Price, on display at  Museo Helga de Alvear (Cáceres) from 28 June to 3 November 2024 and at Cultugest (Lisbon) from 15 March to 22 June 2025.

Co-published by Museo Helga de Alvear and La Fábrica, it includes a preface by Sandra Guimarães and texts by Andrew Price, Natalie Ferris and Roger Malbert in conversation with Susan Hiller.

With a career spanning more than five decades, Susan Hiller (1940–2019) was one of the most influential artists of her generation. ‘Dedicated to the Unknown’ was Hiller’s first major solo exhibition after her death and presented the breadth of the artist’s investigations into that which escapes rationality and lies beyond what we recognise, with early and late works in media as varied as painting, sculpture, photography, video, and installation.
